As the Mexicans keep our Marine in jail for making a wrong turn and aid the massive illegal immigration flow, Bill O'Reilly is asking Americans to boycott Mexico. Is Mark Walker going to listen or keep raffling Mexican vacations to raise money?
Whoever the political spin doctor was who told Mark Walker to drag Howard Coble into the amnesty debate made a mistake.
On Facebook, Mark Walker dismissed his support for amnesty because ''May I also remind you that as great a man that Howard Coble is, he supported Gerald Ford over Ronald Reagan.''
When Mr. Coble supported President Ford 38 years ago, he was Revenue Secretary for Governor Holshouser, who was President Ford's top guy in North Carolina, and Mark Walker was 7 years old and living in Texas I think.
So it's obvious that Mark Walker doesn't have any memory about what Howard Coble was doing in 1976. Some spin doctor told Mr. Walker to throw Howard Coble out there as supposedly making a mistake back then so people ought to overlook Mark Walker supporting amnesty now.
Doesn't make sense, does it? And it really doesn't make sense when you remember Howard Coble actually voted against amnesty for illegal aliens way back in 1986 (Roll Call 433, 10/15/86). And Edwin Meese, who was President Reagan's Attorney General at the time Reagan was talked into signing the bill now says it was Mr. Reagan's greatest mistake.
Mark Walker didn't learn from Howard Coble's example. Coble opposed amnesty. And Mr. Walker didn't learn from Reagan's close friend Ed Meese who said amnesty was a mistake. Instead, Mark Walker hitched a ride on the media's amnesty train. And he can't spin his way out.
Whoever that spin doctor was who told Mark Walker to throw Howard Coble into the Walker amnesty mess just didn't think it through.
Aren't we tired of politicians trying to spin themselves out of trouble?
On Facebook last night, Mark Walker said ''Amnesty is a pardon. I've never advocated a pardon for illegals .''
No, here's what Mr. Walker said ''I would propose legislation that would provide an incremental pathway to legalization for 12 million illegal immigrants.'.'http://m.yourmobile.me/walker4nc
And he also said “I propose 'Pathway to Security' legislation that would provide an incremental pathway to citizenship for 12 million illegal immigrants.'' http://www.rhinotimes.com/berger,-walker-don%E2%80%99t-hold-back-during-candidates%E2%80%99-forum.html
Legalization. Citizenship. Welfare and ObamaCare and Social Security. That's rewarding lawbreakers. How can Mark Walker say that's not amnesty? Doesn't pass the laugh test.
When Mr. Walker's campaigners call me a Nazi, it means they are afraid of the facts about Mark Walker supporting amnesty for illegal immigrants.
Last week on Facebook, I posted Mark Walker's own words on amnesty for illegal aliens. Mr. Walker said “I would propose legislation that would provide an incremental pathway to legalization for 12 million illegal immigrants ''http://m.yourmobile.me/walker4nc
That's amnesty. Needless to say, Mark Walker's campaigners get upset when you expose his support for amnesty, especially when you shine the light on his own words. Moments later, a Mark Walker campaigner floated a response over the Facebook page. “After looking at Bob's page he would have fit perfectly in the Nazi propaganda machine of WWII Germany .''
Nazi propaganda? Don't the Mark Walker campaigners understand history?
Nazi propaganda wasn't about quoting the other guy's words in a political campaign. It was about about demonizing whole races and religions. Demonizing for the purpose of breaking down barriers between right and wrong. And Nazi propaganda led to Babi Yar and Auschwitz.
Calling someone a Nazi is what you expect from shallow thinkers like the spoiled brats on the left in elite universities. I would have thought conservatives were better than that.
And there is no reason to think Mark Walker agrees with what some of his campaigners say. But two things make me wonder.
First, shortly after the Nazi comment, Mark Walker himself chimed in on Facebook. He said “Thanks for having my back guys”.
A few days later, I checked back on that Facebook conversation. And Mark Walker's congratulatory comments had been removed. He didn't say the Nazi comment was wrong. He just erased the record that he ever saw it. Just like they do in Washington when they erase their own words from the Congressional Record.
It seems Mark Walker has been caught on amnesty for illegal immigrants.
After denying he was for amnesty, the sheer weight of his previous statements has forced him to explain all that stuff about legalization for 12 million illegal immigrants and citizenship was just a giant misunderstanding.
Consider the old Mark Walker and the new Mark Walker.
Old Mark Walker said “I would propose legislation that would provide an incremental pathway to legalization for 12 million illegal immigrants ''http://m.yourmobile.me/walker4nc
And old Mark Walker said “I propose 'Pathway to Security' legislation that would provide and incremental pathway to citizenship for 12 million illegal immigrants.'' http://www.rhinotimes.com/berger,-walker-don%E2%80%99t-hold-back-during-candidates%E2%80%99-forum.html
We all know that legalization and citizenship for illegal immigrants is the Barack Obama amnesty. It gives them welfare benefits and Social Security. As the Heritage Foundation documented, amnesty costs trillions.
Mark Walker knows he can't win an election running on amnesty. So now he says in a new Facebook post “Truthfully, my position on this issue as a minister was not well articulated”. Only these statements about legalization and citizenship for 12 million illegal immigrants were not on a church website. Mark Walker had them on his campaign website. The man has been running for Congress since March 2013.
Here's an obvious question. If Mark Walker won't stand up for his convictions before he gets to Washington, what makes anyone think he'll stand up for anything in Washington?
John Kerry famously said he was for it before he was against it. Mark Walker is saying the same thing on amnesty. But you can't spin legalization and citizenship for 12 million illegal immigrants. That's amnesty.
Phil Berger Jr. may not be everybody's idea of a glad hander. He doesn't have that unctuous bedside manner. But Phil Berger is a conservative. He's a straight shooter. He's consistent. He's against amnesty and what you see is what you get.
Mark Walker will fit right in with the Washington crowd because he's flip flopping and spinning like a Washington politician before he even gets there.
House Majority Leader Cantor lost on amnesty for illegal immigrants. And that's what Mr. Mark Walker is for http://www.rhinotimes.com/berger,-walker-don%E2%80%99t-hold-back-during-candidates%E2%80%99-forum.html
We can't afford billions in welfare for the twelve million illegal immigrants Mark Walker wants to legalize. Phil Berger Jr.opposes amnesty. And voters get a clear choice July 15
Mark Walker is the candidate who said ''I would propose legislation that would provide an incremental pathway to legalization for 12 million illegal immigrants.'.'http://m.yourmobile.me/walker4nc
And then what happens to Social Security under amnesty for illegal immigrants? Mr. Walker says newly amnestied illegal aliens will pay more taxes . But the Heritage Foundation crunched the real numbers, not the wishful thinking .
Illegal immigrants are not eligible for Social Security checks. They will be under amnesty.
Upon retirement, they would collect $10,000 a year in Social Security, $9000 in Medicare and and $7600 in other old age benefits like Medicaid. They would only pay $7800 in taxes. Based on life expectancy, we are looking at a nineteen year payout. Heritage calculates a retirement drain of $3 trillion for illegal immigrants getting amnesty. .
Eventually, illegal immigrants getting amnesty will become citizens with a right to bring their parents to America. We're then looking at another $260 billion in welfare costs for them.
In all , Heritage places the cost of amnesty at $6 trillion. That's real money.
Question for Mark Walker. How does it help Social Security to turn America into the rest home for the Third World?
It's easy for politicians like Mark Walker to be big hearted with other people's money. But politicians like that have killed our economy with debt. Draw the line July 15. Vote Berger.

By proposing legalization for 12 million illegal immigrants, Mark Walker is lighting the fuse on a welfare time bomb that will blow up the federal budget. Here's why.
The nonpartisan Heritage Foundation crunched census numbers on illegal and legal immigrants and their use of the welfare system. Illegal immigrants are not eligible for most welfare programs also called means tested entitlements (welfare, food stamps, Medicaid etc.). However, a household headed by an illegal immigrant can draw welfare on behalf of their American born children.
Right now, with no amnesty, illegal immigrants are collecting 15.5 billion dollars in welfare.
But under all amnesty proposals-including Mark Walker's idea-illegal immigrants eventually become full-fledged legal residents the same as any other legal immigrant. And after 5 years in the country, any legal immigrant with the appropriate income is eligible for welfare.
Today, legal immigrants collect welfare at a much higher rate than illegals -$115 billion a year.
Under amnesty, today's illegal immigrants will become tomorrow's legal immigrants and gain full welfare eligibility. Heritage shows welfare costs for these amnesty beneficiaries reaching $51 billion just for welfare. That's triple what we are spending now on welfare for the same group.
Once they get citizenship, ObamaCare for amnestied illegal immigrants will cost $24 billion a year.
Amnesty backers like Mark Walker say illegal aliens will pay more taxes when they are legalized. But 71% of them still won't have more than a high school education and 51% won't even have that. Welfare takers will get more than taxes paid.
Look at Heritage numbers comparing welfare use and federal tax payments by legal and illegal immigrants.
Legal and Illegal Immigrant Households
Illegal/no HS Legal/no HS Illegal/HS Legal/HS
Total 1,746,857 2,558,106 916,231 3,015,088
Percent 51 20 27 24.6
Welfare $6,235 $19,762 $3,755 $10,093
Taxes $4,284 $7,207 $4, 694 $10,897
The difference between households receiving welfare who are headed by a legal immigrant without a high school education compared to illegal immigrants without a high school education is $13,527. Once the illegal immigrants receive legal status with amnesty, they will become eligible for full welfare benefits and collect $23,629,734,639.
The difference between households receiving welfare who are headed by a legal immigrant with a high school education compared to illegal immigrants with a high school education is $6,338. Multiplied by the number of illegal immigrants receiving amnesty in this category produces additional welfare benefits of $5,807,072,078.
The additional taxes paid by illegal aliens without a high school education who get amnesty amounts to $5,106,063,011-a tiny fraction of what they will get in welfare. The additional taxes illegals with a high school education will pay still does not equal the amount of welfare they will get under amnesty
Mark Walker's amnesty for illegal aliens is a fiscal time bomb. Could President Obama pick a better Republican? Read about the full cost of amnesty here http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2013/05/the-fiscal-cost-of-unlawful-immigrants-and-amnesty-to-the-us-taxpayer
Mark Walker keeps digging the amnesty hole for the country deeper than even I thought. Today's Rhino Times has a new Walker amnesty statement where he says “I propose ‘Pathway to Security’ legislation that would provide an incremental pathway to citizenship for 12 million illegal immigrants". http://www.rhinotimes.com/berger,-walker-don%E2%80%99t-hold-back-during-candidates%E2%80%99-forum.html
Wow. Citizenship for 12 million illegal immigrants. And as the conservative Heritage Foundation points out, that means full welfare benefits. Hundreds of billions.
Mark Walker seems to believe that legalizing 12 million illegal immigrants will add them to the tax rolls. That is wishful thinking because most won't earn enough money to pay taxes. In fact, they will get money back through various low income tax credits.
Mark Walker. Mr. Amnesty. Could President Obama pick a better Republican?
